The Vehicle Assignments section allows you to assign vehicles to users or user groups for specific durations. This helps ensure accountability and track usage by operator, making it easier to organize reports, inspections, and service logs.

View

• The page is divided into three status tabs:
  • Past: Displays previous assignments that have ended
  • Current: Shows active, ongoing assignments
  • Future: Lists upcoming, scheduled assignments
• Columns include:
  • Vehicle Name
  • Plate Number
  • Assigned To (User or Group)
  • Start Date
  • End Date
  • Status
• Filter and search by:
  • Vehicle
  • Assigned User or Group
  • Date range
  • Assignment status

Assign

To assign a vehicle:

1. Click + Add Assignment
2. Fill out the assignment form:
   • Vehicle (dropdown)
   • Assigned To: Select a user or group
   • Shift: Optional — defaults to No Shift
   • Start Date and End Date
   • Start Odometer + option to Void this value
   • End Odometer + option to Void this value
   • Start Engine Hours + option to Void
   • End Engine Hours + option to Void
   • Comment: Add context or notes for the assignment
   • Send Email Notification: Check to notify the assigned user by email
3. Click Save to confirm the assignment

Actions

• Edit Assignment: Click the ⋮ menu beside any record to modify the assignment period, values, or recipient
• End Assignment: Terminate an active assignment early
• Export the assignment history to Excel for analysis

Quick Control Panel

Accessible from the top-right menu, this panel allows you to:

• Export data to:
  • CSV file
  • XLS file
  • XLSX file
  • PDF file
• Import assignment data from a file (supports: .csv, .xls, .xlsx)

ℹ️ All odometer and engine hour values are optional but can be enforced based on your configuration. Use the Void checkboxes to ignore specific fields if needed.
